Oh, so algebraic geometry is so advanced in Bonn that it has become a family activity
And thank you for mentionning this 50th Arbeitstagung, I’ve found short versions the talks and there are many interesting things. Hirzebruch is nearly 80 isn’t he? It’s nice to see he’s still involved.
(Btw, your blog is great. Perhaps you might want to add the widget corresponding to recent comments to make it easier to localise ongoing activity, just a thought.)

Thank you. Actually the widget was there, the problem was that the comments waited for moderation which was turned on. I turned it off, let’s see how much spam we get.

Hi thomas1111,
Well in case of Anton and Masha, algebraic geometry IS family business- Masha is a postdoc here and used to work with Manin.
The thing that was most impressive about Ivanka was how attentive she was through the entire lecture- I can vouch for the fact that when I was seven, I would have raised hell in the auditorium. But then again, I may be biased- I’m her favorite “math uncle” after all
Best,
Obi
